Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. Bulletin of December 7, 2009.

Update for Weeks 46 and 47 (November 9–22, 2009):

  • The weekly number of reported cases of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning has decreased compared to the previous two weeks, but remains lower than that observed during the same period in 2008.

  • Two incidents of mass CO poisoning occurred in public places (a school and a work-based support center), exposing a total of 98 people to CO fumes. Environmental investigations, currently being conducted by the environmental health departments of the relevant Departmental Directorates of Health and Social Affairs (DDASS), aim to determine the causes.
