Epidemiology of HCV among people who use drugs, France, 1993–2002.

The main objective of this article is to describe, based on a review of the literature, trends in HCV transmission among people who use drugs (PWUD), detailing its key determinants (prevalence, incidence, modes of transmission, attitudes toward HCV testing, and PWUD perceptions of the disease in France). Additionally, this article compares data on the transmission of this virus with those for HIV.
