Survival Rates for People with Cancer in Metropolitan France, 1989–2018 - Pancreas
In France, for the year 2018, the estimated number of new cases of pancreatic cancer was 14,184, and the estimated number of deaths from pancreatic cancer was 11,456. Key points: Poor prognosis with a standardized net survival rate of 39% at 1 year and 11% at 5 years for cases diagnosed in 2010–2015; Net survival at 5 years is nearly four times higher at age 50 (19%) than at age 80 (5%); Improvement in net survival over time, with survival rates doubling between 1990 and 2015, though they remain very low among older adults.
