In France, the estimated number of new cases of bone sarcoma in 2018 was 639 (55% in men). Key points: Intermediate prognosis with a 5-year age-adjusted survival rate of 55% for cases diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; Survival rates decline with increasing age at diagnosis starting at age 50; High mortality immediately following diagnosis among older patients.
