Survey Methodology. Santé publique France Health Barometer: Results of the 2024 Edition

The Santé publique France Health Barometer is a recurring survey on health-related behaviors, attitudes, opinions, and knowledge. In 2024, the survey methodology changed, notably with the introduction of a new online data collection method. It has been recognized as being in the public interest and of high statistical quality. The survey interviews adults aged 18 to 79 residing in mainland France, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, and Réunion who live in standard housing, via the internet and by telephone. In 2024, 34,940 people completed the questionnaire, which took an average of 38 minutes, representing a response rate of 56.6%. The analyses present the initial findings of the survey, broken down by demographic, socioeconomic, and geographic characteristics, with a particular focus on identifying social and regional health inequalities.
