Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika
No new locally transmitted cases have been reported in Corsica since week 33. The total stands at 3 outbreaks and 18 cases of locally transmitted chikungunya.
In mainland France, as of October 20, 91 outbreaks of local vector-borne transmission have been identified: 79 chikungunya outbreaks (+1 compared to last week) and 12 dengue outbreaks (no change compared to last week).
Summary of imported cases in Corsica: 6 imported cases of dengue and 3 imported cases of chikungunya (no new cases compared to last week).
Asthma at the start of the school year
Asthma activity is decreasing at SOS Médecins and in emergency departments, with a more marked decrease at SOS Médecins. Both networks show activity levels similar to last year. This report is the last one published for this season.
Acute respiratory infections
Flu and flu-like syndromes: very low activity.
Bronchiolitis (under 1 year): very low activity.
COVID-19: activity decreasing at SOS Médecins, increasing in emergency departments.
Mortality
No excess mortality observed.
