In 2018, the main findings regarding stroke cases treated in the emergency departments of the 8 centers included in the EPAC survey are as follows:

• CVA is more common among the youngest and oldest age groups. Overall, the majority of CVA victims are men;

• Overall, the most common location for AcVCs is the home. AcVCs occur primarily during play and recreational activities. Falls are the most common cause of AcVCs;

• Overall, contusions are the most frequently observed injuries in a CVI. Injuries are most often located in the upper and lower limbs;

• the majority of AcVCs appear to be benign, as they do not result in hospitalization or subsequent follow-up. However, this should not lead to the conclusion that AcVCs are without consequences (the potential consequences of AcVCs in terms of limitations and quality of life are not measured in EPAC);

• the circumstances surrounding the occurrence of transient ischemic attacks, their consequences in terms of lesions (nature and location), and their management vary significantly by age group and gender.
