Six themes are addressed: alcohol/tobacco, nutrition, AIDS prevention, regional health surveys, recommendations/evaluations, and centers of expertise in health education. Other topics covered include: a report on Médecins du Monde’s reception centers in France; poverty as a new “Eldorado” for smoking; and finally, the harmful effects of fast food through a critical analysis of the film “Super Size Me.”
