When it comes to violence, the most urgent need is for educational initiatives and prevention.

For six months, Anne Tursz coordinated the work of experts on the topic of "Violence and Health" at the request of the Ministry of Health and Solidarity, before drafting a report that provides an overview of the current situation and proposes courses of action. In this interview, she strongly emphasizes that immediate action must be taken in the areas of educational initiatives, health education, and prevention. She highlights the role of primary care physicians in identifying risks and stresses the need to take action as early as pregnancy, including with fathers. Finally, she challenges common misconceptions about violence. No, violence is not on the rise in society; it is the media coverage of it that is increasing. No, there is no inherent link between violence and poverty; abuse affects the entire population.
