The authors briefly describe an awareness program aimed at educating children about the risks of everyday accidents, in which they participated. The intergenerational approach used is outlined. The development of the project targeting disadvantaged neighborhoods in Grenoble includes the selection of objectives and partners, the search for funding, the implementation of training and activities, an inventory of prevention measures related to urban planning, the framework for overseeing the initiative, and the selection of evaluation criteria. People in contact with children (professionals, parents, older adults) provided them with information, particularly regarding the history of the neighborhoods and their residents, which enriched the creative activities carried out in schools (musical, informational brochure, etc.). Evaluation seems difficult at this stage, but there is a growing awareness of the problems and their causes, as well as a strengthening of intergenerational bonds, transcending ethnic and cultural differences, though with limited parental involvement.
