Skills and patient education.

Now that patient education has been included in the Public Health Code for the first time, defining the competencies of professionals in this field is becoming increasingly important. These skills must be addressed through appropriate training programs that combine theory and practice. A competency framework appears essential and is currently being developed.[author’s abstract]
