People call us because they don't know who else to turn to [Interview].

The Adalis Public Interest Group (GIP) comprises Drogues Info Service, Écoute Alcool, Écoute Cannabis, and Joueurs Écoute Info Service. Users or their loved ones call "because they don't know who else to turn to." According to Karine Grouard, director of operations for the Adalis program, many of them do not consult healthcare professionals in person and do not dare to talk about their difficulties. The primary benefit of this program is that it is “easily accessible to the public, with no obligation and no cost.”
