France has established a national public health agency: Santé publique France.
Santé publique France, the new national public health agency established by the Law on the Modernization of the Health System of January 26, 2016. Santé publique France combines the missions of three health agencies and a public interest group: the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS), the National Institute for Prevention and Health Education (Inpes), the Agency for Preparedness and Response to Public Health Emergencies (Éprus), and the Addiction, Drugs, and Alcohol Information Service (Adalis).
