Evaluation of a surveillance network for surgical site infections in southeastern France

Since January 1995, the C. CLIN Sud-Est has coordinated a surveillance network tracking the incidence of surgical site infections. More than 140 surgical departments have voluntarily participated in the network for a minimum period of three months. In 1996, a survey was planned to evaluate the surveillance system and optimize its methodology. (adapted from the text)
