The Early Impact of Parental “Technoference” on a Baby’s Development

From the very first months of life, screens intrude on families’ daily lives, disrupting essential interactions between parents and children. In a 2023 survey, more than half of mothers acknowledged that their cell phones regularly disrupted the time they spent with their babies. This phenomenon, known as “parental technodistraction,” impairs the quality of emotional bonds and threatens the cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children.
