Advancing prevention requires the implementation of strategies that have significant and lasting effects on well-being, health, and its determinants, and that reduce social and regional health inequalities. The quality of these initiatives can be objectively assessed through evaluations demonstrating that prevention can be highly effective and cost-effective.
