In Brussels, when experience defies preconceived evaluation criteria.

Admitting they were wrong in order to start over in a different direction: that is the courageous stance taken by evaluators in Brussels. Tasked with supporting the evaluation of community health initiatives, they challenged their own framework to instead draw on the lived experiences of those working in the field. This methodological approach, known as “ethnomethodology,” aims to derive criteria directly from the actors’ experiences.
