From 0 to 18: Protecting children, empowering adults.

Take action as soon as possible and establish temporary shelters for victims of violence, such as women during pregnancy or after childbirth; make it mandatory to address the causes of violence and ways to resolve it in teacher training; implement programs that develop children’s psychosocial skills. These are some of the recommended courses of action put forward by the commission that worked on "perinatal care, childhood, and adolescence." At the request of the Ministry of Health and Solidarity and under the chairmanship of Dr. Anne Tursz, a pediatrician, epidemiologist, and research director at Inserm, six preparatory commissions produced a body of reflections and analyses. This work resulted in a final report by Ms. Tursz: “Do Prevention and Health Education Have a Place in the Fight Against Violence?” The chairs of each of these commissions, along with Anne Tursz, chair of the entire preparatory mission, share with “La santé de l’Homme” the points they found most significant.
