National representative sample of people with diabetes, 2007–2010. Methodological report
This report details the methodology of the second Entred study (National Representative Sample of People with Diabetes), conducted from 2007 to 2010, as well as the analytical methodology. This is a cross-sectional study conducted on a sample of approximately 10,000 people with diabetes selected at random from the French national health insurance system’s medical claims databases. Adult people with diabetes residing in mainland France were surveyed, along with their physicians. Survey data are linked to medical claims data and PMSI data extracted over a three-year period. A mortality study is also conducted. The 2007–2010 study includes a sample of residents in the overseas departments and a sample of children. (R.A.)
