3 days of discussion and learning
A must-attend event in public health, the Rencontres de santé publique France welcomes every year all professionals involved in the public health, prevention, social services, and education sectors (public health practitioners, institutional representatives, scientists, associations, and students).
Held over 2 or 3 days, nearly 1,200 people attend plenary conferences, parallel sessions, workshops, and seminars to share experiences in health surveillance, prevention initiatives, and peer-to-peer interventions. French, European, and international experts come to present their latest work, discuss topics of interest and current issues, and demonstrate how expertise is applied to public health initiatives.
Objective: to share feedback, identify emerging topics, explore them in small workshops, and put into perspective effective working methods and actions, along with the resulting outcomes at the regional, national, European, and international levels.
An organizing committee
Renewed annually and composed of a pair of representatives from Santé publique France’s scientific departments, the organizing committee is responsible for proposing topics, developing the program for a session, workshop, seminar, or plenary session, and contacting and coordinating with internal and external speakers and moderators leading up to the event. It is chaired by Laetitia Huiart, Scientific Director of Santé publique France, and coordinated by the Communications Department.
Since 2018, this committee has also organized a “late breakers” session to present recent public health news or highlights in a concise format.
A Challenge for the Santé publique France Meetings
The goal of this event is to inform participants about Santé publique France’s working methods and scientific research, always keeping in mind the continuum between surveillance and prevention efforts, with the aim of improving public health. The various conference formats thus allow the diverse audiences of the Santé publique France Meetings to engage in discussions and access information tailored to their background and needs.
