Public Health France Barometers
The Santé publique France Health Barometer: a survey of health-related behaviors, opinions, and knowledge designed to guide public health prevention and education policies.
The survey, conducted by the Ipsos research institute, took place from January 8 to August 1, 2016, in mainland France, among 15,216 people aged 15 to 75. Landline and mobile phone numbers were randomly generated. The telephone interview lasted an average of 37 minutes.

The questionnaire addressed various health topics, including perceptions and practices related to infectious diseases, with a significant portion dedicated to vaccination, as well as sexual health and screening for HIV and viral hepatitis.
Results of the 2016 Health Barometer
Among the many available results, this survey revealed, among other things, a slight decline in support for vaccination in 2016 and confirmed the major role of healthcare professionals in vaccination practices.
It also highlighted an increase in social inequalities regarding smoking and indicated that the significant decline in contraceptive pill use observed in the early 2010s did not continue.
The results of the 2016 Health Barometer were made public through reports, articles, and other publications (listed below by topic).
BaroTest
The 2016 edition of the Health Barometer included, for the first time, a biological component titled "BaroTest." Following the telephone interview, a combined screening for hepatitis B, C, and HIV was offered free of charge to all adults via the mailing of a home self-collection kit.
The objectives of this biological component were to assess the acceptability and feasibility of this new screening offer and to estimate the prevalence of HBV, HCV, and HIV infections in the general population.
