Key Points

  • Nationally, based on INSEE data, the number of deaths in week 10 returned to within the usual range of fluctuation for the third consecutive week across all age groups, among people aged 15–64, and among those over 85. In contrast, the number of deaths remained at the upper limit of the threshold among those aged 65–84 through week 09.

  • The number of electronically certified deaths is decreasing in week 11.

  • An excess of deaths was observed in 2 metropolitan areas in Week 08, 2 regions in Week 09, and in Occitanie in Week 10 (unconsolidated figures).
