Key Points

COVID-19

  • Indicators of viral circulation were declining across all age groups except for those under 30, among whom transmission remained stable at low levels. The positivity rate was stable in Paris and Seine-St-Denis and declining in other departments. Omicron variants, dominated by recombinants, remained the predominant strain.

  • Visits to emergency departments related to COVID-19 decreased, as did consultations at SOS Médecins clinics.

  • Hospitalizations for or related to SARS-CoV-2 infection were decreasing, as were admissions to intensive care and COVID-19-related hospital deaths.

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • Decrease in indicators across all data sources and for all age groups.

  • Low activity levels at SOS Médecins clinics and in hospital emergency departments.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Surveillance ended this week.
