Key Points

COVID-19

  • In week 47, the incidence rate (IR) is stable and remains at a low level. The regional (unadjusted) IR fell from 25.7 per 100,000 inhabitants in week 46 to 25.2 per 100,000 inhabitants in week 47. Departmental (unadjusted) IRs are rising in 1 department: Côtes d’Armor (IR at 24, -2 points), Finistère (IR at 19, -1 point), Ille-et-Vilaine (IR at 29, -3 points), Morbihan (IR at 28, +5 points).

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic activity. Sharp increase in the number of emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations. Detection of RSV and rhinoviruses/enteroviruses according to the virology laboratories at the Brest and Rennes university hospitals.

Influenza

  • Non-epidemic activity. Increase in SOS Médecins consultations. Increase in the detection of influenza A viruses according to data from the virology laboratory at the Rennes University Hospital and first detections at the Brest University Hospital.

Asthma

  • Continued high activity in hospital emergency departments and community settings among children.
