Santé publique France is France’s national public health agency. A state-run public institution under the supervision of the Minister of Health, created through the merger of several public institutions by Ordinance 2016-246 of April 15, 2016, the agency works to promote public health. As a scientific, expert, and public health safety agency, its missions are:
The agency is organized into 12 divisions—some scientific, some cross-functional, and some providing operational support.
The agency’s strategic priorities and work program, established by its Board of Directors, are organized into three areas: Strengthening the capacity for foresight and rapid response to address health threats; Measuring and assessing the scope of diseases and risk factors to guide their prevention and control; Strengthening the health impact of all public policies and the prevention and promotion of health.
Regional Administration - Mayotte Regional Office
Reporting to the Director of the Regional Directorate, the Mayotte Regional Delegate serves as the
representative of the national public health agency in this region.
The Regional Delegate has a comprehensive overview and a detailed understanding of regional public health issues
, as well as a solid knowledge of the ARS program as outlined
in the regional health plans, a solid understanding of national priorities, and the
ability to identify regional priorities and areas of focus from among all the
public health topics addressed by Santé publique France in order to best
tailor regional action.
