Key Points

  • As of 4:00 p.m. on August 30, 2017, the Rhône and Loire regions are under an orange alert. Four departments are under a yellow alert.

  • Temperatures are beginning to drop significantly across the country, with rain and thunderstorms developing in the northwest. However, during the hottest part of the afternoon, temperatures will reach 30 to 31°C in the Lyon area and the lower Rhône Valley. All heat wave alerts will be lifted tomorrow at 6 a.m. No heat wave is currently forecast for the first half of September.

  • There have been no significant changes in the activities of emergency services and SOS Médecins.
