Indigenous Cases

• As of July 20, 2026, two locally acquired cases of dengue have been identified in the Tarn and Hérault departments (Occitanie).

Imported cases

From May 1, when enhanced surveillance began, through July 19, 2026, the following cases were identified:

• 80 imported cases of chikungunya
• 231 imported cases of dengue
• 8 imported cases of Zika

West Nile virus infections

Autochthonous cases

• As of July 20, 2026, one locally acquired case of West Nile virus infection was identified in the Pyrénées-Orientales department (Occitanie). This is the first detection of the virus circulating in humans in France in 2026.
