A look back at the evaluation of twenty-two "smoke-free high schools."

In 2003, four years before the law banning smoking in schools took effect, twenty-two high schools across France volunteered to participate in the "Smoke-Free High Schools" initiative. An evaluation coordinated by the French Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (OFDT) was launched at the start of the initiative. This article presents the methodology and results of that evaluation.
