Summary

  • In week 41 (October 9–15), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics rose slightly (+3.4%) across all age groups.

  • Among seasonal illnesses, we note a stabilization in consultations for upper respiratory tract infections in children and a continued decline in adults (-10%). Furthermore, there continues to be an increase in consultations for isolated fever and infectious conjunctivitis among children under 2 years of age (up 22%, or 41 visits, and up 24%, or 27 visits, respectively). Among adults aged 15–74, there was also a slight increase in consultations for infectious conjunctivitis (+6%).

  • Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in consultations for trauma across all age groups (+7.6% among adults and +12.3% among children). Additionally, there was an increase in consultations for dental problems (+19.4%) among children aged 2–14 and for general health deterioration (+12%), low back pain/sciatica (+13.2%), and falls (+11%) among adults aged 75 and older.
