Key Points
In Week 47 (November 18–24, 2024), following a sharp increase in Week 46 (+28%), activity at SOS Médecins clinics stabilized among children under 15 (+3%, or 939 visits) and continued to decline slightly among adults (-4.5%, or 2,755 visits).
The increase in cases related to seasonal respiratory indicators continues among children, but at a more moderate rate than in Week 46:
influenza/flu-like illness (+27%, or +224 cases) and bronchitis (+8%, or +144 cases);
upper respiratory tract infections (+10%, or +1,256 cases), pneumonia (+8%, or +30 cases), and cough (+7%, or +422 cases) among 2- to 14-year-olds;
bronchiolitis (+15%, or +68 cases) among children under 2 years of age.
Among adults, respiratory indicators are stable or declining, except for procedures for influenza/influenza-like illness among those aged 15–74 (+12%, or +302 procedures).
Among other indicators, notable increases were observed among children aged 2–14 for chickenpox (+80%, or +82 visits), infectious conjunctivitis (+9%, or +38 visits), and acute abdominal pain (+9%, or +41 visits), as well as among those aged 75 and older for vomiting (+39%, or +15 visits).
