Key Points
In Week 24 (June 9–15, 2025), compared to the previous week, SOS Médecins’ activity increased among children under 2 years of age (+9%, or +497 cases), and remained stable in other age groups.
Across all age groups, there was an increase in cases of heatstroke (197 cases compared to 34 the previous week), dehydration (+116%, or 36 more cases), insect bites (+42%, or +411 cases), and trauma (+11%, or +391 cases).
There was also an increase in cases for:
Digestive disorders:
Gastroenteritis in children under 2 years of age (+12%, +32 cases) and in those aged 75 and older (+18%, or +17 cases).
Respiratory conditions:
Asthma attacks in children under 2 years of age (+48%, or +27 cases) and in those aged 75 or older (+18%, or +7 cases).
Allergies in children under 15 years of age (+11%, or +61 cases).
COVID-19 among children under 15 in small cohorts (+20%, or +13 cases) and among those aged 15–74 (+33%, or +144 cases).
Viral infections and conditions:
Infectious conjunctivitis among those under 15 years of age (+14%, or +76 cases) and among those aged 15–74 (+13%, or +59 cases).
Chickenpox (in small sample sizes) among children under 2 years of age (+15%, or +19 cases) and among those aged 15–74 (+55%, or +12 cases).
Scarlet fever in children under 15 (+27%, or +29 cases).
Viral syndrome (in small sample sizes) among children under 2 years of age (+11%, or +13 cases).
Among other indicators, there was an increase in visits among children for isolated fever (+35%, or +22 visits) and various dermatological conditions (+22%, or +90 visits), as well as for various dental/ENT conditions among those aged 2–14 (+12%, or +39 visits). Among those aged 15–74, there was an increase in procedures for general malaise (+12%, or +26 procedures) and isolated fever (+14%, or +34 procedures).
