Summary
Emergency department visits for all causes are rising slightly among children and adults over 75 years of age but remain stable among those aged 15–74. Hospitalizations are also increasing among children under 2 years of age and adults 75 years of age or older.
Visits for ENT infections, gastroenteritis, and isolated fever are on the rise among children. Bronchiolitis and urinary tract infections are also increasing among children under two years of age.
Among adults, there has been an increase in visits for chest pain, as well as for pneumonia and heart failure in adults aged 75 and older.
