Summary
In Week 19 (May 6–12, 2019), emergency department visits and hospitalizations following such visits remained stable across all age groups.
Over the past week, there was primarily an increase in emergency department visits for: - asthma attacks in children under 15 years of age (+18.5%, or +206 visits), - dehydration in children under 2 years of age (+33%, or +19 visits), - chickenpox (+16%, or +12 visits) and measles (+56%, or +22 visits) among adults.
