Key Points
In Week 13 (March 23–29, 2026), the number of emergency department visits and subsequent hospitalizations remained stable across all age groups.
There was a continued increase in ENT infections among those under 15 (+9%, or +681 visits) and among those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +236 visits). Visits for fever alone among those aged 15–74 (+13%, or +101 visits) also continued to rise this week. Among children, there is a continued increase in visits for chickenpox among those under 15 years of age (+35%, or +114 visits) as well as an increase in visits for conjunctivitis among those under 2 years of age (+24%, or +49 visits).
Visits for gastroenteritis continue to rise among those under 15 (+11%, or +340 visits) and are also increasing this week among those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +91 visits). Among children under 2, there is also a continued increase in visits for vomiting (+9%, or +48 visits).
Regarding mental health, there has been an increase in visits for suicidal behavior among adults aged 45–64 (+11%, or +35 visits) and conduct disorders among children aged 2–14 (+10%, or +71 visits).
