Summary

In Week 9 (February 24–March 1, 2020), the third week of school break, emergency department visits and subsequent hospitalizations continued to decline among children (-11.7%, or 889 fewer visits, and -8%, or 165 fewer hospitalizations) and remained stable among adults.

Seasonal and non-specific indicators were mostly stable or declining over the past week. The only notable change is a slight increase in visits for fever alone among adults (+15.7%, or +165 visits).
Visits for influenza/flu-like illness continue to decline among children (-20%, or -889 visits) but remain stable among adults, and even show a slight increase among those aged 15–74 (+4.5%, or +165 visits). In most regions of mainland France, activity has decreased, and the epidemic peak has been reached in all mainland regions.
