Summary

  • Emergency room visits and hospitalizations from all causes continue to rise among children aged 2 to 14 in connection with the resumption of school (+12%), while they are declining in other age groups.

  • Visits for influenza/flu-like illness are on the rise among children (+35%) and have decreased very slightly among adults (-3.7%). Across all age groups, the activity rate is 2.1%, higher than in the previous two years.

  • Among other seasonal indicators, visits for asthma, general malaise, and gastroenteritis are up among children, by 43%, 19.5%, and 12.6%, respectively. The share of activity for gastroenteritis is higher than in the previous two years.
