Key Points
Among children, there has been a continued increase in emergency department visits for mood disorders and, to a lesser extent, conduct disorders, with rates higher than in previous years. There has also been an increase in visits for anxiety disorders, though at levels consistent with previous years.
Among adults, indicators are stable or declining and at levels comparable to previous years, except among those aged 15–44. Among this group, there has been an increase in emergency room visits for mood disorders and conduct disorders, as well as SOS Médecins calls for depressive states, at levels slightly higher than in previous years.
