Key Points

In Week 28 of 2022, indicators are stable or declining among children and adults in the OSCOUR network and the SOS Médecins network. Levels are comparable to or even lower than those of previous years.

Week 28 (July 11–17, 2022):

Data on emergency room visits from the OSCOUR® network:

  • Among children, visits for suicidal acts and anxiety disorders were down, and visits for anxiety disorders were stable. This decline is typical at the start of summer vacation. The levels observed are comparable to or lower than those of previous years in Week 28.

  • Among adults (ages 15 and older), visits for mood disorders and anxiety disorders were down, while visits for suicidal acts were stable. The levels observed are comparable to or lower than those of previous years for all indicators.

Data on medical procedures from the SOS Médecins associations:

  • Among children, medical procedures for anxiety, depressive states, and behavioral disorders are stable or declining. The levels observed for these three indicators are comparable to or even lower than those of previous years.

  • Among adults (15 years and older), for all indicators, the number of medical procedures remains within the fluctuation ranges observed since the beginning of the year and at levels lower than those of previous years.
