• Among children, healthcare utilization for suicidal acts, suicidal ideation, anxiety disorders, and distress increased in May 2025 compared to the previous month, in connection with the end of the April school break. The number of emergency room visits for suicidal thoughts remained higher than the figures typically observed over the previous three years, primarily among 15- to 17-year-olds. Other indicators fluctuated at levels close to those observed during the same period.

• Among adults, visits to emergency departments and calls to SOS Médecins in May were stable for most indicators. The number of visits remained higher than in previous years for suicidal ideation across all age groups, as did the number of SOS Médecins calls for anxiety among 18- to 64-year-olds.
