Among children, the number of cases for most of the monitored indicators increased in March 2025 compared to the previous month, in line with the end of winter break for the three school districts. The number of emergency room visits for suicidal acts or thoughts was higher than the average for the previous three years, as were SOS Médecins calls for anxiety. The other indicators remained within the usual ranges observed during the same period.
Among adults, the number of cases involving suicidal thoughts or attempts increased among 18- to 24-year-olds in March compared to February. The number of visits remained higher than in previous years across all age groups for suicidal thoughts and among 18- to 24-year-olds for suicidal attempts. SOS Médecins calls for anxiety or depressive states among those aged 18–64 also increased in March, reaching levels higher than in previous years.
