Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, May 5, 2015.

Summary

During the last full week of April, mortality recorded at the civil registry offices participating in the surveillance program (70% of national mortality) remained, as in previous weeks, within the usual range of fluctuations, with figures corresponding to expected values for the first time since late 2014, both for all ages and by age group (Figures 1–3).Electronic death certification continued to stabilize during Week 18 (April 27–May 3, 2015), with 611 deaths certified electronically (Figure 4).
