Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, May 2, 2017.
Summary
According to mortality data provided by INSEE, the observed number of deaths from all causes during week 16 (April 17–23, 2017) remained lower than the expected number for this period for the fifth consecutive week, across all age groups and particularly among people aged 65 and older (Figures 1–3). Based on data from electronic death certificates, 1,344 deaths were recorded during week 17 of 2017 (April 24–30, 2017).
