Key Points

  • Starting in week 20, the number of deaths returned to the usual range of fluctuation at the national level and in all regions;

  • An excess of deaths continues to be observed through week 22 among people aged 65–84, while the number of deaths has returned to the usual range of variation among people aged 15–64 and those aged 85 and older since week 19. These trends remain to be confirmed as data are consolidated.
