  • The number of deaths appears to be returning to the usual range of fluctuation in weeks 19 and 20 at the national level.

  • An excess of deaths continues to be observed through week 20 among people aged 65–84, while the number of deaths returns to the usual range of fluctuation among people aged 15–64 and those aged 85 and older starting in week 19.

  • In week 19, the Hauts-de-France region continued to show excess deaths, and in week 20, the number of deaths from all causes was within the usual range of fluctuation in all regions as of June 1.
