  • The toxicovigilance network supports public authorities in responding to approximately sixty reports and alerts per year nationwide in France. Since January 1, 2012, the network has been particularly involved in responding to fifteen reports and alerts. These health reports involved biological agents (shellfish, phytoplankton—Dinophysis, Alexandrium—and cyanobacteria), chemical substances (everyday household products, dietary supplements), or unidentified agents in cases of unexplained deaths. Information on some of these notable incidents is provided in this issue under the heading "Reports – Alerts."
