Switzerland has a specialized system for the training—both initial and continuing—of sexual health practitioners, as well as continuing education programs for professionals in the fields of education, health, and social services. Sexual Health Switzerland, the Swiss foundation for sexual health and rights related to sexual and reproductive health, has developed training programs in collaboration with the country’s universities and awards the professional title of Specialist in Sexual Health, Education, Training, and Counseling at the national level. It also issues recommendations regarding the quality of training programs, which involve various partners.
