The Internet as a Source of Information on Sexuality: Between Other People’s Lives and Social Norms.

Yaëlle Amsellem-Mainguy conducted two surveys of young people aged 14 to 25 to see how they use the Internet to learn about contraception and sexuality. Today, the Internet is the preferred medium for researching these topics—particularly through forums—and for engaging in anonymous discussions. It helps fill the knowledge gap young people feel regarding sexuality. But one challenge remains: ensuring the reliability of the websites they visit.
