Survey of Human-Origin Salmonella in 1992–1993
The Pasteur Institute’s National Reference Center for Salmonella compiles and coordinates all results concerning Salmonella of non-human origin. Nearly 300 "field" laboratories (public or private) participate in Salmonella surveillance. Research is conducted as part of official surveillance, at the request of the government, or most often as part of self-assessment, at the request of the professionals themselves (companies, farmers).
