  • Measles resurgence since November 2017

  • Decline in the number of new weekly cases since Week 13 (epidemic peak)

  • As of June 10, 2018, 2,466 cases reported since November 6, 2017

  • 84 departments have reported at least 1 case; this number has remained stable since the last bulletin

  • Since Week 13, the weekly number of cases has also decreased significantly in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which no longer reports any active outbreaks

  • Highest incidence among children under 1 year of age: 25.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

  • 22% of reported cases were hospitalized

  • 88% of measles cases occurred in unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated individuals

  • Overseas Departments (DOMs): 1 case imported from mainland France to French Guiana (Week 17), with no secondary cases identified. No cases reported in Réunion or Mayotte, but heightened vigilance due to an epidemic situation in Mauritius (nearly 200 cases), compounded by the risk of imported cases from mainland France.
