Key Points

  • Vaccination coverage indicators for infants (born in 2021) subject to the expanded vaccination mandate show a decline in several cases, particularly in Southern Corsica:

    • in Southern Corsica, the decline is observed across all vaccine types, except for the first dose of the hexavalent vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, and meningococcal C vaccine;

    • In Haute-Corse, the only decline concerns the 3-dose pneumococcal coverage (-3.4 percentage points).

  • Vaccination coverage rates lower than national rates:

    • vaccination coverage for all valences is lower than the national rates.

  • Increase in vaccination coverage among children not subject to the expanded vaccination mandate:

    • +4.1 percentage points for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2006 (36.2%) compared to those born in 2005 (32.1%),

    • increase in catch-up vaccination coverage against meningococcal C across all age groups.

  • Increase in influenza vaccination coverage compared to the 2019–2020 season:

    • +2.6 percentage points among people aged 65 and older, but 7.8 percentage points lower than in mainland France.
